Levels and flows have risen to levels experienced in 2008/09 in some locations in the CVCA watershed. Therefore, a FLOOD WARNING has been issued.
Regrettably, we received significant precipitation at various locations in the watershed in the past 24 hours and as a result flows on Crowe River and Beaver Creek are extremely high and not showing signs of peaking yet. Certain lakes are also experiencing higher than anticipated levels with no peaks either. Wollaston is very high, while lakes such as Cordova, Round, Belmont and Crowe are rising to 08/09 levels with the potential to go beyond.
Staff will monitor levels and flows 24 hours a day until the warning is downgraded. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
